One print from the series "The Six Tamagawa Rivers" (Jewel Rivers). The beauties in the prints are compared with each of the rivers. In the square frame, upper right corner, a poem composed by Fujiwara no Shunzei (Toshinari; 1114-1204) about the beauty of the river Tamagawa in Ide, where Japanese globeflowers (yamabuki) bloom. The poem is included in the anthology "Shin-Kokinshu II", no. 159.
