SPECIAL EVENT: TEA CEREMONY

 

The tea ceremony developed during the fifteenth century into a formal and stylish event in which the preparation and presentation of tea is done through strict movements and rules. Harmony, respect, purity and serenity are among the most important principles of the ritual. In a meeting with artist Miho Kataoka Erlich, we will see a demonstration of a tea ceremony, hear in-depth explanations and enjoy Japanese tea and traditional sweets.

Miho Kataoka Erlich, is a Japanese ceramic artist who creates Japanese tea ceremony tools and studied ceramics at the "Art University of Kyoto", while studying the art of the tea ceremony, which is an inseparable part of traditional ceramics.

 

* At 17:00 a guided tour of the exhibition "The Art of Tea" will be held in the Hebrew language.

* At 18:00 a demonstration of the tea ceremony will take place.
